Fixture Information

General Information

The OYFL runs age groups from Under 7 through to Under 21, following the incorporation of the Oxfordshire Invitation Youth League (which ran U17 to U19 previously). All fixtures are loaded and displayed on the FA Full-Time system . In line with FA guidelines, results, match statistics and tables are not displayed for the development age groups (Under 7 to Under 11) - fixtures will be displayed, and results will be listed as "X - X".

Season structure

Following the rules laid down by the FA, there are different formats used for fixtures, depending on the age groups, along with trophy events (for U7 to U11) and knockout cup competitions (U12 to U21). The number of cup competitions in an age group may vary each season depending on the number of teams entered. Leagues, Trophy Events and Cup competitions are streamed where possible, either based on development match results (development age groups) or league (U12-U21).

Under 7 to Under 11 age groups are classed as development age groups where results and tables cannot be published (including on websites, social media, etc). The only exceptions are results of trophy event fixtures which can be published. Any club found publishing results or tables for development matches will be fined. All KO Cup competitions for Under 7 to Under 11 are classed as Trophy Events.

U12-U21 fixtures may be affected by County Cup fixtures, which take priority over League fixtures. Under 18-21 age groups may be split into separate leagues depending on the number of entries each season.
